Healing Minds: Centre for Counselling and Education recently concluded a highly engaging and developmental Kids Winter Camp. The two-day camp was held on the 26th and 27th of December 2024, from 10 am to 1 pm, at our South Kolkata facility located at 27 B, Baishnabghata Byelane, Kol-47.
Fostering Mental Wellness Through Play
Tailored specifically for children aged 7 to 10 years, the camp was built around a “learning through play” method and craft making. These therapeutic sessions were expertly guided by our experienced Play & Art Therapists and Psychologists. To ensure a comforting environment for the young participants, one guardian was permitted to accompany their child during the sessions.
Key Developmental Objectives
The activities were carefully designed to target specific emotional and cognitive milestones. The core objectives of the camp included:
- Improving attention.
- Reducing mobile phone addiction.
- Increasing positive fantasy.
- Developing a co-sharing habit among peers.
- Teaching fundamental anger management skills.
- Increasing problem-solving skills.
A Fun and Fulfilling Experience
The camp provided a wonderful opportunity for children to step away from screens and engage in hands-on, creative expression. The registration fee of Rs 1000 covered all necessary craft materials and included refreshments for the attendees. We are incredibly proud of the progress and enthusiasm displayed by every child who joined us.
